Child Nutrition

In the Dardanelle School District, it is necessary to complete a meal application for free or reduced priced meals. For households who wish to complete a meal application, they are available below or at any of the schools.

These meal benefits do not include a la carte items sold in the cafeteria. If students wish to purchase items a la carte, they will need to have money for those purchases.  The District does not provide credit for staff or students to charge for meals, a la carte, or other food and beverage items available for purchase in the school food service areas.  Meals, a la carte, or other food and beverage items may be purchased by either providing payment for the items at the time of receipt or by having a prepaid account with the District that may be charged for the items.  Students choosing to do so may pay in advance for meals, a la carte, or other food and beverage items through any of the following methods:

  • Submitting cash or check payment at school cafeteria

  • Depositing funds through the District's online service

A student's parents will be contacted by authorized District personnel regarding a student's prepaid account balance at the following time:

  • A letter will be sent to the parents after the child's account goes into the negative $10.00 or more.

All adults, e.g., visitors, teachers, support staff members, and administrators of the district must assume the full cost of the meal which is $2.10 for Breakfast and $4.00 for Lunch.

Visitors are always welcome at Dardanelle Public Schools, and you are certainly welcome to enjoy lunch with your child, but food brought from an outside source can only be shared with your student. Adult meals can also be purchased from the cafeteria at the rate indicated above.

Our cafeterias follow dietary restrictions and modifications due to documented medical illnesses/issues/allergies as noted by a medical doctor in accordance with USDA guidelines. Your school nurse will need to be your first point of contact to ensure these needs are met.
