Attention Parents: All buses will be running their normal evening routes except for the Elephant and Kangaroo buses. The Elephant bus will stay on Hwy 22 only and the Kangaroo bus will stop at the intersection of Hwy 393 & River Mtn. Rd. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this adjustment to our routes.

The Dardanelle School District will be open on Friday, January 19th. However, we will start school with a two-hour delay. All staff will report at 9:00am. All city bus routes will run normally with a two-hour delay. All country routes will run highways only! This includes Highway 22, 155, 27, 28, 7, and 154. Pick up times will be unpredictable, so please accompany your student and be ready after 8:30 am until they are picked up. If you are unable to attend school because of travel safety issues, student absences will be excused. Thank you for your patience as we strive to make the best decisions for your student and their safety.

Due to continued icy conditions of most of our bus routes, school will be cancelled for Thursday, January 18th. However, all 240 day contract employees will report to work by 9:00am.

Greetings Sand Lizard Community, this Wednesday, December 13 @ 6:00pm, the Board of Education will host their monthly meeting in the upstairs board room at Administration Building at 102 South Front Street. This is a change from our normal time of the second Monday of each month. Dr Gotcher will share the district's Facility Master Plan for the future at the beginning of the meeting. Greetings Sand Lizards, Last evening the board of education unanimously voted to immediately allow all current Dardanelle Students (K-12) to be admitted to any home sporting event at no cost. We are grateful to our board for making this possible for our students. However, all Dardanelle students 12 years and younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to enter the sporting event. Go Sand Lizards! Dear Sand Lizard Family, On Tuesday, October 10th, an incident occurred involving one of our students and one of our buses. The incident has been reported and is still under investigation. Our student was completely unharmed in the incident, and appropriate measures are underway to prevent any future similar incidents. The parent was immediately notified when we learned of the incident and we have worked closely with them. Our focus will always be on the safety of our students. On that principle, we will not compromise.
