In honor of Keith Stokes, beloved Dardanelle community member, breeder and handler of Razorback Tusk, we are encouraging everyone to wear Razorback clothing to school on Monday, August 21st. We will miss you, Keith!
Congratulations to our very own SRO, Bryan Robinson. He is loved by our students and faculty, and we are so lucky to have him at DHS full-time.
The Dardanelle School Board of Directors regularly scheduled meeting has been changed from Monday, June 12, 2023 to Monday, June 19, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Central Office.
Early voting began yesterday for our special election and will continue through next Monday. The hours are 8:00a-4:00p at the old Sheriff's Office, behind the Yell Co. Courthouse.
Next Tuesday, May 9th the polling sites are:
Dardanelle Community Center &
Centerville Fire Station
Polls will be open from 7:30a-7:30p.

Follow Up Communication Regarding High School Security Incident
Dear Sand Lizard Community,
I want to provide you with an update following my communication yesterday…
1. We learned this afternoon that the suspect was released on bond. The Judge made it clear in his orders he was not to be on or near any school campus or school event in the Dardanelle School District.
2. The Dardanelle Police Department will be increasing their presence in our district along with our School Resource Officers and Commissioned School Security Officers on our campuses.
3. Dardanelle Police and our security personnel are aware of his vehicle and his name. Therefore, we will monitor our campuses to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
4. Please know that our school officials and Dardanelle Police acted immediately upon knowledge of this suspect and his illegal activity on our campus, and he was arrested in Dardanelle on 3rd and Union Street Wednesday morning.
5. We have also learned through police investigation that our students were never threatened by this suspect, but he committed a felony by bringing a gun on our campus.
6. While this has been a learning experience for our district and security team, we are thankful that no students were harmed in this incident. We will continue to improve the way we communicate with our school community. I am grateful for the partnership we have with the Dardanelle Police Department. We are all committed to the safety and security of your students and our staff.

Dear Patrons, many of you have asked for more details on the plans for our future facilities. I have included images of the Architect's renderings of the Multi-Purpose Facility and the Agri Complex. Also included are the floor plans for both the Multi-Purpose Facility and the Agri-Complex in this post. In the Multi-Purpose Complex, we are planning on approximately 6,000 square feet of band rehearsal and office space for our growing band program. We are planning on a four-classroom and a 4,700 square feet shop area for Agri-mechanics and animal science. Other planned uses of the Multi-Purpose Facility will include: cheer, ROTC, basketball, future volleyball, band concerts, and graduations. Please remember, these plans will be adjusted based upon feedback from our employees and patrons but prove to be a great start for our discussion. If you have any questions or comments on these two facilities, please feel free to comment. We are excited for the future opportunities for our students and local workforce.
