After a couple weather delays our sophomore students were finally able to attend a tour of the Arkansas Tech Career Center last week. Students will have a chance to enroll in two year programs while in high school that will award them certifications and on the job training. If you currently have a sophomore at DHS, ask them about this trip and encourage them to sign up for "VOTECH" with their advisors.

With all the hard work these students are putting in, they deserve a well rested break and these pillows should do just the trick.
The DHS Advanced Art students want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The DHS History Club adopted every resident at the Dardanelle Nursing home to provide a Christmas present to. Students volunteered to wrap the presents after school, then used their advisory time to deliver the gifts to the Nursing Home. Great job to our students and to the History Club Advisers, Mr. Harvell and Ms. Freeman.

Congratulations to our Sand Lizards basketball team on becoming the Quitman tournament champions once again. They defeated a strong Pottsville team last night in the championship game.

It has been an interesting week at Dardanelle High School. Coming into week 2 of the playoffs with having a bye the first week, our teachers wanted to up the school spirit and get students ready to cheer on our Lizards tonight at home. They held an undercover spirit week where students had no clue what to expect next and some even questioned the sanity of some teachers as we are close to our Thanksgiving break. Take a look at our week boosting teacher morale and getting our student body in the spirit to come out and support our Sand Lizards as they take on Prairie Grove tonight at Keenan Field. We hope to see you all there!
